Originally, El and I planned to allow anyone with two solid contributions to feather to have full-on commit access to the git repository. However, we quickly decided against that. The reason being we simply don’t have the time to monitor every single commit that makes its way into the repository.
This methodology for managing contributions works fine for a project like Rubinius, where the lead developers literally work full time on the project. El and myself aren’t fortunate enough to work on open source full time though.
With all that said, we’ve seen some really great contributions coming into feather from many different developers, and the both of us feel it’s time to loosen up the reins a bit on the repository by granting commit access to two developers who have been working really hard on continually improving feather.
Those two developers are:
AJ Christensen and Alexander Flatter
Congratulations guys, and thanks so much for your efforts. We can’t wait for more of your great work. You now hold the keys to the kingdom.
Just for everyone’s edification, El and I reserve the right to revoke access at any time. ;)
